Ahead of the budget next week, the Urban Mobility Partnership has written to the Chancellor to outline our suggestions for how HM Treasury can better support the innovations driving the future of urban mobility and industry’s efforts to reduce congestion and emissions. We believe that the government should be looking to develop innovative incentives to help drive behavioural switch away from private car journeys, such as tax free mobility contributions for employees and an ‘Integrated Transport Fund’, providing long term funding for local government to work in partnership with industry to transform travel and tackle climate change.
