UK Events
UMP was formally unveiled at a roundtable policy discussion, organised and chaired by the Centre for Cities, at the Conservative and Labour conferences in 2018. These events, with high-profile national and regional politicians speaking, set the scene for UMP’s future work.
Following the launch of UMP in September, UMP has held a series of regional engagement events throughout autumn 2018 and spring 2019 across a number of major cities across the UK.
Ahead of the Mayoral and Local Elections on 6 May 2021, the Urban Mobility Partnership also engaged with candidates for Mayor of the West of England, West Yorkshire and the West Midlands to discuss important air quality and transport issues and how innovative ideas can create a sustainable multi modal transport system fit for the future that places the consumer at its heart.
